History and ownership
Built in 2002 by Vard Brattvaag, the Geoquip Elena Vessel (formerly Olympic Orion and Global Orion) is currently owned by Benemare Shipping Co Ltd and managed by Geoquip Marine.
Converted into an Integrated Geotechnical Survey Vessel (IGSV), she specialises in deep-push Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) to support offshore wind farm developments worldwide.

The DP2-rated vessel uses a Kongsberg SDP 21 navigation system.
