New format for photograph competition

Community Decision: Faster Format Wins!

Thanks to everyone who voted the OffshoreShipAdvisor community has spoken.

Option 1: Faster Format (Groups of 4) has officially been chosen for the next stage of the 2026 Photo Competition.

Starting with the Round of 32, we’ll be using the new Mini-Heats format the community selected.

How the New Format Works

To keep the competition exciting and speed up the journey to the final the Round of 32 will run like this:

32 vessels → 8 groups of 4

Each group becomes one voting post

Top 2 advance, bottom 2 are eliminated

Cuts the round from 16 posts down to 8

Faster progress, more engaging matchups, and still completely community-driven

This format keeps things fair while making the competition more dynamic and efficient exactly what you voted for.
