The ORIENT INSPIRER (IMO: 1071288) is a state-of-the-art Service Operation Vessel (SOV) built by Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam and operated by Taiwan's Dong Fang Offshore (DFO). Measuring 103 metres in length and flying the Liberian flag, this highly specialized work vessel is custom-engineered to support the offshore wind sector. It features an advanced DP2 dynamic positioning system, a motion-compensated Walk-to-Work (W2W) gangway, and a 7-tonne 3D lifting crane to ensure safe, stable technician transfers in rough seas. With accommodation for 120 personnel, the vessel is deployed under a long-term charter with Vestas to provide critical operations and maintenance (O&M) services at the Changfang-Xidao and Zhong Neng offshore wind farms in the Taiwan Strait.
