Built on an environmentally friendly Salt 0217 design, this 88.3-metre multi-purpose offshore vessel features state-of-the-art automated systems, including a 3D motion-compensated gangway and crane, to support large-scale offshore wind farms like the Dogger Bank Wind Farm. Reflecting shifts in its fleet management and operator history, the ship was originally launched and christened as the EDDA BOREAS under the Edda Wind fleet. It was later renamed the BOREAS ENABLER in late 2024 before transitioning to its current designation as the GRAMPIAN TAY following its acquisition by the North Star shipping company to expand their North Sea energy support services.
