The GAS STRENGTH (IMO: 9172636) is a substantial LPG tanker and Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) currently operating under the flag of Gabon. Built in 1999 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Kobe, Japan, this 27-year-old vessel has a length overall (LOA) of 230 metres and a width of 36.6 metres. With a summer deadweight capacity of 49,609 tonnes and a gross tonnage of 44,469 tons, it is designed for the high-capacity transport of liquefied petroleum gases like propane and butane. Formerly known as the Great Tribune and Gas Commerce, the vessel is currently managed by Lighthouse Maritime Waves LLP and owned by Veinto Global Marine Inc..
