This vessel seems quite dated inside even though she is only 15 years old. Everything is wood with gloss varnish. The linoleum floors are very tired, put well taken care of by the marine crew at the request of the Chief Mate. Cabins sleep 2 people with an ensuite bathroom. You will probably be sharing cabins. There is a gym in a container onboard these days, though I think it is quite small and limited. There is a dayroom with a TV and a games console, but no other downtime activities. In addition, the dayroom is at the bow, so if the bow is into the weather, it's just really uncomfortable. You get a tiny WiFi allowance (yes, you are given an allowance per day). Stewards will do your laundry and change your bedsheets. Food is hit and miss, some cooks are better than others, after all. But there is always a choice and provision of fruit and salad. There are cans of soda in the fridge amongst concentrated fruit juices and milk. Iwa keeps a fresh pot of coffee on the go for you. The muster station is the smoking area and smells awful (not of cigarette smoke, it just smells incredibly oily) when the vessel is near stationary or there is no wind. Marine crew form the Master to the ABs and stewards are hard working, knowledgeable, and dedicated.
