The vessel formerly known as Bourbon Evolution 807 has officially entered a new chapter and it’s a big one.
The Acquisition: In February 2026, Astro Offshore (UAE) secured the vessel in an uncontested online auction for $35 million, marking one of the standout offshore purchases of the year.
The Transformation: Following the deal, the ship underwent a full reactivation, repair, and maintenance program at Carena Shipyard in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. This is where the vessel’s new identity Astro Aurora was formally completed.
The Relaunch: In August 2026, the renamed vessel was introduced to the market alongside a strategic partnership with Oceaneering International, positioning Astro Aurora for high-value offshore campaigns ahead.
